Fardowsa Yussuf
Fardowsa Yussuf is a youth advocate, community leader, and policy contributor committed to advancing equity, inclusion, and opportunity for multicultural, migrant, and refugee communities. With extensive grassroots advocacy experience, she focuses on dismantling systemic barriers and amplifying the voices of marginalised young people across community, policy, and civic spaces. She is the youngest appointed member of the Queensland Government’s Multicultural Queensland Advisory Council, a Board Director at the Queensland Program of Assistance to Survivors of Torture and Trauma (QPASTT), and a former Chair and Vice-Chair of Multicultural Australia’s Future Leaders Advisory Group.
Fardowsa has represented community perspectives on national and international platforms, including UN Women Australia’s Women in Leadership Summit, and has received multiple nominations for the Queensland 7NEWS Young Achievers Awards. Currently completing a Master’s in Environment, she brings an intersectional approach connecting social justice, sustainability, and youth empowerment. As Co-Founder of Talim Legacy Youth, she is dedicated to creating pathways that empower young people to lead with confidence, resilience, and purpose while driving lasting, community-led change.
